SPECIAL FEATURE:
Low-cost microchipping (a $25 requested donation) will be available for dogs and cats (you can bring your feline along in a carrier) courtesy of the  Mayor's Alliance for NYC's Animals. The fee is a fraction of what private veterinarians charge, which can range from $60 to $200, excluding registration costs.

There is good reason for your pet to have a chip on his shoulder -- it will help you and your pet to be reunited should he/she decide to take an unauthorized jaunt though the neighborhood. You can read more about microchipping on the Mayor's Alliance for NYC's Animals website
